Thailand Technical Consumer Goods market slightly declined in Q1 2018

GfK TEMAX® results for Thailand, Q1 2018

Thailand, March 31, 2018 –The Thailand technical consumer goods market declined by 4.4 percent in the first quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter last year.

The negative sales dropped of Thailand technical consumer goods market as a consequence of major declined in Telecommunications (TEL) and Information Technology (IT) segment which dropped by 12.3 percent and 0.9 percent respectively. 

However, the other remaining segments still show positive growing trends including Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), Office Equipment & Consumables (OE), Photography (PE), Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) and Consumer Electronic (CE), which grew by 15.3%, 10.6%, 7.5%, 6.5% and 1.3% respectively, compared to Q1 2017.
