Thailand Technical Consumer Goods market slightly declined in Q4 2018

GfK TEMAX® results for Thailand, Q4 2018

Thailand, Dec 31, 2018 – The Thailand technical consumer goods market declined by 6                   percent in the fourth quarter of 2018, compared to the same quarter last year.   

The major dropped in Total Thailand Technical Consumer Goods as a consequence of major declined in Telecommunication (TEL) at 15.0 percent. Moreover, Photography (PE) gradually shown negative trends as market dropped 2.9 percent.

On the other hand, the other remaining segments still shown positive growing trends  especially Consumer Electronics (CE), Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) which grow by 6.8 percent, 5.6 percent and 3.4 percent respectively. In addition, the small contribution segments like Office Equipment & Consumables (OE) con-tinue improved by 1.6 percent.

However, Information Technology (IT) segment seem to reach saturated as market remained unchanged.
