Bucharest, February 2020 - Q4, with Black Friday promotional activities and December as Christmas Season, continue to register the highest sales in yearly sales. The turnover for the fourth quarter looks better comparing 2018, due to higher demand from various categories. Hence, TCG market showed a 5.7% increase in value, higher than the overall growth throughout the year.
Telecom sector shows the highest growth in turnover value, representing an increase of 13.5% compared with Q4 2018, based on a couples of product fields like core wearables and big screen smart phones. SDA shows growth, as well, the only food preparation and juicers and presses do not show an uplift in sales in Q4/2019. MDA, ranked second within TCG shows a sales uplift of 4.8% compared with same period in 2018.
On the opposite trend, IT, Consumer Electronics and OE decreased sales on sector level, from lost demand in categories like audio home systems, desk computing and printing devices.
Not least, the photo sector is relatively stable with a 0,1% drop in sales, but still declining overall.
