Amstelveen, February 11th 2019. The NL Market for consumergoods shows strong growth compared to the same period last year. Consumer Electronics, Small Domestic Appliances and Office Equipment remain about the same in Sales Value. Telecom and IT on the other hand, show an enormous increase in Sales. This is mainly due to Phablets (Screensize >5,5”). The share of this product group within Telecom is more than half of the total Sales Value. The Telecom Market is moving towards more expensive models, that, even though the new price tags are pretty steep, remain as popular as ever. Another product group that shows strong growth (growing for the 4th consecutive quarter) is Headsets. More expensive phones and “Headphones with Mic” seem to be the new standard for Telecom.
