GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q4 2018

Kuala Lumpur, February 16, 2019 – The Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market in Malaysia improved by 5.8 per cent in Q4 2018, compared to the same quarter in 2017. Telecommunications (TEL), Photo (PHO), Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), and Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) gained in Q4 2018. These panels increased by 19.8 percent, 4.9 percent, 3.8 percent, and 1.4 percent respectively. However, Consumer Electronics (CE), and Office Equipment (OE) declined by 25.3 percent and 12.8 percent over the previous year.
