GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q4 2019

Kuala Lumpur, February 4, 2020 – The Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market in Malaysia grew by 13.9 per cent in Q4 2019, compared to the same quarter last year. The most important segment driving the market growth was Telecommunications (TEL), followed by Information Technology (IT) and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA). These panels rose by 19.0 per cent, 16.9 per cent and 11.5 per cent respectively. On the other hand, Consumer Electronics (CE) and Photo (PHO) declined against last year. These panels reported a negative growth of 2.1 per cent and 27.3 per cent in value respectively in Q4 2019 compared to Q4 2018.
