GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q1 2019

Kuala Lumpur, April 30, 2019 – The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Malaysia lifted by 14.3 per cent in Q1 2019, compared to the same quarter in 2018. Telecommunications (TEL), Information Technology (IT) and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) gained in Q1 2019. These panels increased by 29.0 percent, 2.3 percent and 11.3 percent respectively. However, Consumer Electronics (CE), Photo (PHO), Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) and Office Equipment (OE) declined by 11.4 percent over the previous year.
