GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q1 2018

Kuala Lumpur, May 16, 2018 – The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Malaysia retreated by 0.4 per cent in Q1 2018, compared to the same quarter in 2017. Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), Photo (PHO) and Telecommunications (TEL) gained in Q1 2018. These panels increased by 9.2 percent, 8.2 percent, and 3.0 percent respectively. However, Office Equipment (OE) and Information Technology (IT) declined by 25.3 percent and 14.9 per cent over the previous year.
