GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q2 2019

Kuala Lumpur, August 16, 2019 – The Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market in Malaysia improved by 22 per cent in Q2 2019, compared to the same quarter in 2018. Telecommunications (TEL), Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), and Information Technology (IT) gained in Q2 2019. These panels increased by 36.7 percent, 20.4 percent, and 19.2 percent respectively. However, Photo (PHO), Consumer Electronics (CE), and Office Equipment (OE) declined by 30.8 percent, 20.1 percent, and 2.7 percent over the previous year.
