GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q3 2019

Kuala Lumpur, November 1, 2019 – The Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market in Malaysia improved by 8.4 per cent in Q3 2019, compared to the same quarter last year. The most important segment driving the market growth was Telecommunications (TEL), followed by Small Domestic Appliances (SDA). These panels rose by 24.8 per cent and 11.3 per cent respectively. On the other hand, the decline present in Consumer Electronics (CE), Photo (PHO), Major Domestic Appliances (MDA), Information Technology (IT) and Office Equipment (OE). These panels reported a negative growth of 26.2 per cent, 45.4 per cent, 13.2 per cent, 5.4 per cent and 16.6 per cent in value in Q3 2019 compared to Q3 2018.
