GfK TEMAX results for Kazakhstan, Q2 2019

Almaty, August 19th 2019 – The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Kazakhstan overall sales increased by 8,4% in national currency terms in Q2 2019 vs. Q2 2018.

Despite the growth in the national currency, the market showed a negative trend in US dollars. This was due to the depreciation of KZ tenge by 17%. Also, the decrease in demand was influenced by the saturation of the market for most of the main product categories.
