GfK TEMAX results for Kazakhstan, Q4 2018

Almaty, February 20th 2019 – The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Kazakhstan overall sales increased by 9% in national currency terms in Q4 2018 vs. Q4 2017.

The growth of the market in the national currency decreased significantly compared to the previous quarters. This happened for two main reasons. First, due to the weakening of the tenge. Second, interest-free installments, one of the drivers of increasing demand, took place both in this quarter and a year earlier.
