Milan, May, 2020 – In the first three months of 2020, the Italian Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) market generated € 3.8 billion revenues with a decrease of 10.5 percent, heavily concentrated in March, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The emergency situation, the lockdown and all the necessary measures taken to prevent contagion, including many stores closure, affected almost all sectors: Consumer Electronics (-13.5%), Major Domestic Appliances (-10.9%), Telecommunications (-18.6%). Small Domestic Appliances and Office Equipment sectors suffered less, while Information Technology registered robust growth (+7.1%), thanks to products required to work, study, eat and entertain at home.
