Copenhagen, May 6, 2019 – In Q1 2019, the overall TCG market increased especially driven by IT, SDA and MDA. On the other hand, Q1 reported a decline in CE and Telecom. The IT sector grew the most, where the growth was seen in non-gaming laptops. The decline in Telecom was driven by a steep decline in conventional smart and mobilephones sales, as this has been replaced by a strong growth in large screen size smartphones as well as corewearables. In CE, the decline was due to decreasing sales in non-smart audio and OLED TVs. The growth in SDA came from increasing demand for vacuum cleaners, while the cooling category and freestanding dishwashers drove MDA growth.
