German spendings for TCG growing in Q2 2019

GfK Temax ® results for Germany, Q2 2019 

Nürnberg, 9. August 2019 – The German market for technical consumer goods developed positively in the second quarter 2019 on a year-on-year comparison. In terms of revenue, the trend was +2.2 percent. Domestic appliances and IT were the growth drivers, while telecom and consumer electronics/photo remain behind in terms of revenue development. With a growth rate of nearly 10% small domestic appliances are delivering a strong contribution, as for example thanks to prospering business with rechargeable handstick vacuum cleaner, espresso machines and hairstylers. The highest growth rate is measured for Information technology, especially high-performing, ultra-mobile and design-oriented devices are in highdemand.
