GfK Temax ® results for Germany, Q1 2019

Nürnberg, 8. Mai 2019 – The German market for technical consumer goods remained stable in the first quarter 2019 on a year-on-year comparison. In terms of revenue, the trend was +0,2 percent. Small domestic appliances, office devices and consumables and IT were positive, while telecom and consumer electronics/photo declined. Innovative product categories such as wearables, driven by Smartwatches, compact system cameras as well as Gaming-Monitors, and in the market for household appliances large capacity washing machines, dishwashers, espresso machines and hairstyling and epilation devices were helping the total market to grow slightly.
