Bogota, February 13th 2019 – During 2018’s third trimester, the Colombian market of Technical consumer Goods (TCG) presented a growth in sales value and units of 4,5% and 1.5%, respectively compared to the one presented on the same period of 2017; following the same trend, compared to the previous Quarter, the TCG market evidenced an increase in sales volume and value.
The fourth trimester of the present year was mostly influenced by promotional events online (Black Friday and Cyber Monday) realized during November. As a result, the best sellers during the events were the product groups Smartphones, TV and cooling; being TV the only category out of the three to have a sales’ decrease compared to last year’s events. This can be mainly attributed to a possible market saturation after the world cup season.
