Bogota, May 3th 2019 – During 2019’s first trimester, the Colombian market of Technological Consumption Goods (TCG) presented a growth in sales value and units of 11,2% and 8.6%, respectively compared to the one presented on the same period of 2018; On the other hand, compared to the previous Quarter, the TCG market evidenced a decrease in sales volume and value.
The first trimester of the present year was mostly influenced by promotional events (Hot Sale, Back to School and Anniversaries) realized throughout the trimester. As a result, the best sellers during the events were the product groups Mobile Computing, Smartphones, TV and Cooling; being TV the category out of the four to have a slower growth rate, due to a deceleration of consumption after the world cup season.
