Vienna, February 11th, 2020 – Technical Consumer Goods in Austria show a slight increase of +1,5% in turnover in the 4th quarter 2019. The highest impact is due to a 9,3% growth for the IT Sector, followed by Telecommunication and Major Domestic Appliances with a plus of +2,4% and 2,3%. Small Domestic Appliances slightly exceed with + 0.4% the high level of the previous year. Consumer Electronic Sector closes with -8,7% and Office Equipment with -12,0%.
Although the second half of the year went better overall than the first, especially in the field of consumer electronics and telecommunications, the entire year 2019 shows a slight minus for technical consumer goods in Austria at -0.3%.
