Total Market is decreasing above 13% in units

GFK TEMAX results for Argentina, Q1 2020

Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 13th, 2020 

In this first quarter Argentinian market decreased 13,9% in Units and grew 47,4% in value terms compared with the same period last year.

Hiper&Super was the channel with the best performance compared with the first quarter 2019, they grew 2,1 points of share in units and 2,11 in value. At the same time, inside the Specialist channel, Tiers II and III are taking away share from Tier I.

The only three sectors that showed growth in both units and value terms were MDA due to ELECTRIC WATER HEATERS; IT with MINI/BLUET SPEAKERS and CE sector with HEADSETS. The rest of them showed decreases or flat movements.

Value in AR will usually grow due to inflation.
