Buenos Aires, Argentina, February 10th, 2020
In this fourth quarter Argentinian market decreased 8,9% in Units and grew 65,3% in val-ue terms compared with the same period last year.
Hiper&Super was the channel with the best performance compared with the fourth quar-ter 2018, they grew 1,4 points of share in units and 2,81 in value. At the same time, inside the Specialist channel, Tiers II and III are taking away share from Tier I.
The only three sectors that showed growth in both units and value terms were MDA due to COOKING, COOLING, GAS WATER HEAT, ELECTRIC WATER HEATERS; SDA with Toasters and CE sector with RADIO DEVICES (TABLE TOP) and HEADSETS. The rest of them showed decreases or flat movements.
Value in AR will usually grow due to inflation.
