7% contraction despite telecommunications growth 

Johannesburg, November 20, 2017 – In the third quarter of 2017, the South Africa technical consumer goods (TCG) market contracted by 7 percent, compared to the same quarter in 2017. Telecommunications, the biggest contributor to the South Af-rican market, grew by 14.5%. Major Domestic Appliances (MDA) saw a 3.9% growth, and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) saw a 0.3% growth
