GfK TEMAX results for Malaysia, Q1 2017

Kuala Lumpur, May 15, 2017 – The technical consumer goods (TCG) market in Malaysia improved by 10.5 per cent in Q1 2017, compared to the same quarter in 2016. Telecommunication (TC), consumer electronics (CE), and photography (PHO) are the segments that grew in Q1 2017. These panels increased by 27.1 percent, 12.6 percent, and 10.5 percent respectively. However, office equipment fell the most with 26.0 percent, followed by IT at 14.9 percent and SDA at 4.7 percent.
