Bogota, December 13th 2017 –The Colombian market of Technological Consumption Goods (TCG) in the third quarter of 2017 presented a considerable growth of 5.2% in comparison to the same period of previous year. This outcome also reflects an improvement relative to the preceding quarter. It is worth mentioning the great expansion in MDA and Photo sector along the Q3, nevertheless, Telecommunications still is the sector with the most important contribu-tion to Colombian growth.
Third quarter was affected by significant promotional events in Mass Merchandisers, reason why consumption boost. Hence, comparing Q3 results with previous quarters rises a positive trend towards economic improvement. Furthermore, Colombian government has been stimulating consumption through macroeconomic policies. Consequently, consumption confidence index and private credit improved considerably as well other economical indexes.
